About the event
Come join all of us at Mockingbird Farm Sanctuary for a kiddo curated tour and experience!
A one hour behind-the-scenes tour of Mockingbird Farm Sanctuary for kids is here! This tour is for ages 4-12 ONLY.
The kids will be lead in and out of the barns and all around the farm so they can get a peek into how it all works. It’s an hour of fun and discovery for the kids.
Learn how Mockingbird Farm Sanctuary takes cares of over 51 residents of all different species of animals from a sweet 5lb chicken to our gentle senior Holstein mama cow Sophie, who weighs 1500lbs!
Each child will be able to participate in a coloring book craft activity of designs by our very own designer, Ryan of Covrtdesign, as well as photo opportunities all over the sanctuary, and go home with a few souveniers!
This day is specifically designed to give children a unique tour experience and close access to our residents in a more kid friendly tour environment.
We look forward to seeing you all for an incredible day at Mockingbird Farm Sanctuary!
If you are looking to book a private tour, or to experience the sanctuary with kiddos under the age of 4, please email us and we would be more than happy to accomodate and select a date.
Please take note:
-At this time, we DO NOT have public bathrooms or changing areas on site, as our facilities at this time are limited to a portable restroom. Please plan accordingly during your visit.
-Mockingbird Farm Santuary is a full-time working farm sanctuary with many potential hazards to include mud, uneven ground, animal dropings, and roaming animals. We highly encourage that your children stay with you at all times to avoid any possible injuries that might occur. We ensure the sanctuary is as safe, clean and accessible as possible, but situations might present themselves that are beyond our control.
-Please wear close toed shoes, bring water and weather appropriate clothing.
-Although we'd love to meet them, please keep your companion animals home.
-We are currently unable to accommodate wheelchairs or walking assisting devices at this time due to the nature of the farm and the uneven, muddy, or loose dirt covered areas. We are trying very hard to convert our historic barns and sanctuary grounds to make it inviting and accessible to all, and will be coming soon!
-Tours are scheduled for an hour, but there might be times where we go over or under one hour for various reasons, please plan accordingly. You are welcome to leave the tour at any time.
